Avon Anew Clean Refining Daily Scrub Review
Avon Anew Clean Refining Daily Scrub |
First, let me just apologize to Avon right now. When I first tried the Anew Clean line, I was still very resilient because I'm just resistant to change. There, I said it! Hardest truth to type but it's true. I don't like changing up. I'm an old stubborn Taurus! When I find something I like, I stick to it. When Avon announced it was discontinuing its Anew cleansers, I was irritated and maybe even aggravated to some extent. I had just switched to an Anew regiment and gotten used to the scent. Check out the initial review here: Avon Anew Vitale Review.
To see my initial reaction to the change about discontinuing the line: Avon Anew Clean New Product Review. I think you can sense my frustrations in the beginning :) At that time, I had tried the Anew Clean Gel Cleanser as I was told it's great substitute for the Anew Vitale Gel Cleanser and then I tried the Refining Daily Scrub to see the difference.
I love the fact that I didn't feel confined to one cleanser based upon skincare concerns and was able to switch. I like the gel cleanser but wanted to feel as though I was really cleaning my face and the scrub gave me that feeling since it has a slightly gritty consistency. Maybe it was because I didn't have to get over the scent, but I found it much easier to use the Daily Scrub on a more consistent basis.
Subconsciously, I'd wash my face everyday. It was a natural routine. Wake up, brush teeth, wash face and finish getting ready. Not much mirror time. As the summer approached, I then challenged myself to wearing only three products: Glimmersticks Brow Definer, mascara of choice and lipstick. I didn't even put much thought into it but I was completely comfortable with my skin. Never would I have ever done such a rash move!
It didn't hit me until a male co-worker pointed out that my skin looked so clear. He even asked what I was using so he could try it! I couldn't believe it. I ran to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror several times. It didn't take much studying. As I began to focus, I could clearly see the small little blackheads were gone and my skin looked smoother and more clear.
Getting over my stubbornness, I actually like the fact Avon discontinued the Anew cleaners that were based upon skin concerns and developed a system that targeted skin types. Being honest, I don't think I have large, visible pores. Maybe on those old, tired days they were more noticeable but for the most part, they've always been in tact; however, my issue was the dullness and loss of clarity. I can still use the same Anew Vitale moisturizer to target that concern; however, now I can really zone in and focus on my concerns - which is just having clean skin!
The Anew Clean Refining Daily Scrub is gentle enough for sensitive skin. I'm loving the skin I'm in! To see our Anew Clean skincare line, visit www.chicagosbeauty.com.
